languages

pinion is multilingual... if you assist!

We allocate language-files for the pinion-backend. But these are not yet complete on the one hand, on the other hand they exist not for much languages.

In the backend of the translation module (menu->modules>translation module) you are able to see all translations for the frontend and the backend and you can add new translations for the backend (by importing a language-file or adding new translations)

import translation file

If you want to import a language-file, click on "add" in the backend of the translation module. Now you have 2 possibilities to import language-files:
1. Open the group "Add words with own files" an upload a language-file here (you can find language-files for download on the bottom of this page). Language-files can be xml, json or an own formate. The following examples demonstrate the syntax:
    [Code von allen 3 Varianten]
After you have uploaded your file(s) click "save"
2. Open the group "add words with files from http://www.pinion-cms.org" and choose your language. After that you can see a list of files, choose the files you want and click "save".

add new backend translations

If you want to add new backend-translations, click "add" in the backend of the translation module. Now you have to open the group "Ass word by word". Here you can write one translation after the other, confirm every entry with "add". After you have written all entries, you have to click "save" to save your translations.

export translation file

If you want to export a language-file, click on "export language" in the backend of the translation module. Choose a language and a file-formate and click "save". Now you have to choose a memory location on your PC, then the language file will be saved on your computer.

It would be nice if you support pinion to learn new languages or expand existing language-files and allocate your language files for other users. For that please use the upload-form or send your language-file to translations@pinion-cms.org.
